CoE MEMBER STATES` MINISTERS FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS TO MEET IN STRASBOURG
Baku, May 7 (AzerTAc). The Ministers for Foreign Affairs or State Secretaries for European Affairs of the Council of Europe`s 47 member states will meet on May 11 in Strasbourg.
Items on the meeting`s agenda include follow-up to the high-level conference on the future of the European Court of Human Rights, action taken by the Council of Europe following the conflict in Georgia, relations between the Council of Europe and the European Union and reform process of the CoE.
At the end of the session “the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia” will take over the chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers from Switzerland for the next six months.
Azerbaijan will be represented in the event by deputy foreign minister Mahmud Mammadguliyev.
Items on the meeting`s agenda include follow-up to the high-level conference on the future of the European Court of Human Rights, action taken by the Council of Europe following the conflict in Georgia, relations between the Council of Europe and the European Union and reform process of the CoE.
