EANA/MTI CONFERENCE KICKS OFF IN BUDAPEST
Budapest, May 6 (AzerTAc). The European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA) and Hungarian news agency MTI have opened a two day-conference in Budapest on the theme “The future of news agencies: social media, publishers and broadcasters. Can we make money together?”.
Azerbaijan is represented at the event by Director General of the state telegraph agency AzerTAc, Aslan Aslanov.
The conference was opened by Matyas Vince, President of MTI and EANA.
Malte von Trotha, President and CEO of dpa, delivered a report “New strategies and business models necessary? Where is the money today and where will it be tomorrow?”.
Kevin Anderson, Digital Research Editor at The Guardian, made a report titled “Transforming Mass Media with Social Media”.
Other speakers at the conference included Wolfgang Nedomansky, Managing Director of MINDS International; Peter Kropsch, CEO of Austrian APA agency; Jiri Majstr, Director of News at Czech CTK new agency; Afonso Camoes, Chairman and CEO of Portugal`s Lusa news agency; Bernard Maissen, Editor-in-Chief of Swiss news agency SDA/ATS; Vladimir Puchala, Director Strategy and Development at Slovakia`s TASR news agency; as well as Andon Baltakov, Deputy Director of Strategy of AP; Christoph Keese, President Public Affairs of Springer Group; Anvar Samost, CEO of Estonian BNS news agency; and Radoslav Toth, Manager for New Technologies at TASR.
The conference will continue on Friday.
