ADB HAILS ECONOMIC ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN AZERBAIJAN
Tashkent, May 2 (AzerTAc). Haruhiko Kuroda, President of the Asian Development Bank, has praised results of the economic policy in Azerbaijan in an interview to foreign journalists on the sidelines of the ADB's 43rd Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors, which has started in Central Asia for the first time.
He noted Azerbaijan has grown into the fastest growing economy in Central Asia and Caucasus and continues to implement successful projects.
Kuroda also provided information about ADB-funded projects in the region.
The meeting brings together ministers of finance and development, central bankers, private sector representatives, civil society and media to discuss a broad range of issues linked to ADB's mission to reduce poverty.
The delegation of Azerbaijan led by Finance Minister Samir Sharifov is attending the event.
