AZERI PARLIAMENTARY DELEGATION TO VISIT ITALY

Baku, May 1 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s parliamentary delegation led by Speaker Ogtay Asadov will be visiting Italy on May 3-5, Milli Majlis press-secretary Akif Nasirov said.
Nasirov noted the delegation includes MPs Ali Huseynov, Azer Karimli, Rufat Guliyev, Gudrat Hasanguliyev and head of the Milli Majlis administration Safa Mirzoyev.
The purpose of the visit is to discuss how to expand relations between the two countries` parliaments.
The delegation will have meetings with Gianfranco Fini, President of the Italian Parliament`s Chamber of Deputies, Vannino Chiti, Senate Deputy Speaker and Rossana Boldi, Chairperson of the Standing Committee on European Union Policies, head of the friendship group on Italia-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary ties.
The talks will focus on the current state of and prospects for bilateral cooperation, including inter-parliamentary ties.
As a part of the trip, the Azerbaijani delegation will also visit historical sites in Rome.
