`AZERBAIJAN, TURKEY ENSURE EU`S ENERGY SECURITY`
Ankara, April 30 (AzerTAc). Turkey and Azerbaijan are the countries ensuring European Union`s energy security, European Commissioner for energy Gunther Oettinger told journalists following a gas agreement reached by these countries.
The commissioner said both countries are considered strategic partners to create the “South Corridor” for transportation of gas in what European countries are upbeat about.
According to Oettinger, this strategic gas transportation will consolidate Azerbaijan`s position as EU`s leading partner in the Caucasus and Caspian region.
