NAKHCHIVAN AR SUPREME ASSEMBLY`s CHAIRMAN VISITS TURKEY

Baku, April 28 (AzerTAc). Chairman of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic`s Supreme Assembly Vasif Talibov was in Ankara for an official visit at the invitation of Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.
Here, Talibov visited Heydar Aliyev monument and the mausoleum of Mustafa Kamal Ataturk.
As part of the visit, Talibov had several meetings with Turkish officials.
On Tuesday, he was received by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to discuss prospects for cooperation between Turkey and Nakhchivan.
The same day, he also met State Minister Hayati Yazıcı and foreign minister Ahmet Davutoglu.
Following the meeting, they briefed journalists, during which Davutoglu said “Nakhchivan`s security and welfare is our security and welfare.”
Talibov, in turn, praised the meetings he had during the visit.
He expressed confidence that Azerbaijan-Turkey relationship, as well as cooperation between Turkey and Nakhchivan would continue to develop.
On Wednesday, the Supreme Assembly`s chairman met Chief of the Turkish General Staff Ilker Basbug.
At the end of the visit, Talibov was received by President Abdullah Gul.
They praised the current level of cooperation between Turkey and Nakhchivan, and discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation.
Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Turkey Zakir Hashimov was present in the meetings.
