State investment projects top over 100 projects in Vientiane
VIENTIANE, 26 APRIL (KPL) - The state investment in Vientiane Capital reached 182 projects out of 294 total proposal projects on the socio-economic development were authorised in the first half of current fiscal year.
The total investment projects valued at 251,041 million kip, of which 72,995 million kip was domestic investment and 178,046 million kip of foreign investors.
The investment conditions investment in Vientiane Capital saw it has gradually increased, which accounted for 62.65 per cent of annual plan.
The industrial production has consistently expanded in the six months of this fiscal year. Some new 32 factories are authorised operating business in Vientiane Capital with total investment of 64. 20 billion kip compared to last year increased by 30.4 percent.
Some 23 factories, a total investment of 59 billion kip, have received licenses to operate business.
Presently, the overseas investment countrywide has 108 projects, cost US$ 268 million compared to the same period (US$1,354 million dollar) stood at 19.76 per cent of the plan or equivalent to 16 projects was a total investment of US$9.78 million.
