RUSSIAN, CAUCASIAN RELIGIOUS LEADERS SIGN DECLARATION ON RESULTS OF BAKU MEETING

Baku, April 26 (AzerTAc). Head of the Caucasian Muslims` Office Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazadeh, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia and Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II have signed a Declaration on the results of their Baku meeting.
The religious leaders met on the sidelines of a summit of world leaders which is underway in Azerbaijan`s capital.
Speaking to journalists, Patriarch Kirill said the trilateral meeting was “a success” and that “we`ve discussed a variety of issues, in particular ways of solving the Nagorno-Karabakh dispute”.
The chief of the Russian Orthodox Church also praised the Baku summit of religious leaders, saying the decision to hold it was “a timely and right step”.
“The declaration that we`ve signed on results of our meeting on the sidelines of the summit is a vivid evidence of it.”
“The Declaration has very crucial provisions. We believe that the spirit of this document will have a positive impact on the nature of political negotiations,” the Russian Patriarch noted.
