THERE IS NO MECHANISM THAT CAN SEPARATE NAGORNO-KARABAKH FROM AZERBAIJAN, PRESIDENT
Baku, April 24 (AzerTAc). President Ilham Aliyev said there was no mechanism that could separate the Nagorno-Karabakh from Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan`s Supreme Commander-in-Chief spoke at a military build-up meeting on Friday.
“Such mechanism has never existed and will never exist. It has been reflected in the negotiations.”
The President once again reiterated that “Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity has never been and will never be a topic of discussion”.
“Our position is based on both the international legal norms, historical justice and logic,” said the Azerbaijani leader, adding his country`s territorial integrity “must be restored”.
President Ilham Aliyev said: “Armenia`s armed forces must withdraw from all occupied territories of Azerbaijan. And only after this peace can be established and communications opened in the region.”
“Armenians who today live in the Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijanis who will return there will live under a high autonomy status. They must live within the single Azerbaijani state,” the President emphasized.
