AZERBAIJAN PLACES TOP PRIORITY ON ITS MILITARY, AZERBAIJANI LEADER
Baku, April 24 (AzerTAc). “It is no secret that along with other spheres Azerbaijan puts a huge emphasis on its military. It is our natural approach since Azerbaijan is at war. The war is not over. The first phase of war was just completed. We must do it so that we could liberate our lands by military means at any moment,” President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said at a military build-up meeting on Friday.
“Military spending has increased ten-fold over the past 5-6 years, There is high morale in the Armed Forces. The military equipment and ammunition have been purchased. This process is going on because it is our natural right”
“Currently, Azerbaijan`s military spending matches all Armenia`s expenditures. We can spend on our military as much as we want and we do,” the Azerbaijani leader added.
