MADRID PRINCIPLES CAN BE BASIS FOR NAGORNO-KARABAKH CONFLICT RESOLUTION, PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV
Baku, April 24 (AzerTAc). The Madrid principles and updated proposals based on Madrid principles can be a basis for resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said at a military build-up meeting on Friday.
President Ilham Aliyev said the OSCE Minsk Group established in 1992 made a few proposals, which were not realized.
“The main reason is Armenia`s non-constructive stance and in fact, this country`s continuing its aggressive policy,” said the President.
“With some exceptions, Azerbaijan positively assesses updated proposals. These proposals can become a basis for preparation of a peace agreement,” he added.
