Iran's President arrives in Kampala
Kampala, April 24, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arrived in Kampala Airport on Friday evening on the second leg of his tour to two African countries.
President Ahmadinejad and his accompanying delegation were welcomed by Ugandan Interior Minister at the airport.
On the first leg of his tour, Ahmadinejad and his delegation paid an official visit to Zimbabwe.
After the official welcome ceremony, presidents of Iran and Uganda will discuss issues of mutual interest in a private meeting.
Ahmadinejad will also attend a dinner banquet, which President Yoweri Museveni will host in honor of his Iranian counterpart.
On Saturday, President Ahmadinejad will meet with Iranian businessmen and their families, who reside in Uganda as well as members of Iran-Uganda Friendship Association.
He will depart Kampala on Saturday after another meeting with his Ugandan counterpart./end
