AZERTAC REPORTER LECTURES ON KHOJALY TRAGEDY AT AMERICAN UNIVERSITY
Washington, April 23 (AzerTAc). AzerTAc`s special correspondent in the USA has delivered a lecture on the Khojaly tragedy for the students of the US American University.
Students from all around the world share their views on global issues through the American University's Washington Semester Graduate Gateway Program.
Azerbaijani reporter Shafag Akifgizi was invited as a speaker to join discussions on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. She told about the history of the Khojaly massacre - the killing of hundreds of ethnic Azerbaijani civilians from the town of Khojaly by Armenian troops on 25-26 February 1992. The journalist also provided information about the Justice for Khojaly campaign initiated by Leyla Aliyeva, general coordinator of the Islamic Conference Youth Forum
Akifgizi gave insight into the peace talks on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, interests of USA, Russia in the region.
