YAP DEPUTY CHIEF: US STANCE ON NAGORNO-KARABAKH CONFLICT MUST BE PROTESTED AGAINST
Baku, April 21 (AzerTAc). “The United States` position on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be protested against,” said Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP).
“The current policy of the United States, which is one of the countries that undertook the mission of settling the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, does not coincide with the spirit of its relations with Azerbaijan,” Ali Ahmadov told a Parliament session.
Ahmadov expressed regret over the fact the United States “is giving financial support to Armenia”, adding “it does not coincide with Azerbaijan`s interests”.
This contradicts the international reputation of the United States, which is considered a global advocate of democracy around the globe, Ahmadov said.
The YAP Deputy Chairman urged the parliament to “declare its serious position” on the issue.
“Azerbaijan`s society, in particular, political parties and the parliament must openly express their protest against the stance of the United States,” added Ahmadov.
