Vientiane’s 450-Year souvenirs are for sale

VIENTIANE 20 APRIL (KPL) -The Phetbandith Construction Company has been authorised to manufacture and distribute the souvenirs of the celebration of the 450th anniversary of Vientiane as national capital.
“The 450-Year Souvenir Production Project is among the 21 projects the Vientiane Administration has determined for the celebration of the 450th anniversary of Vientiane proclamation as the national capital of Laos, which will take place on November 15-21 this year,” said President of the Phetbandith Construction Company, Ms. Bouavieng Phetbandith.
Ms. Bouavieng said that the souvenirs produced by her company include badges with 450-Year logos, silver bowls, lockets, coins, stickers, pictures, T-shirts and ties.
The celebration of the 450th anniversary of Vientiane proclamation as the national capital of Laos by the end of this year coincides with the annual traditional That Luang festival.
“Those who buy golden and silver coins will be granted opportunities to win lucky draws to win golden and cash prices. The lucky draws will be held after the annual That Luang festival,” added Ms. Bouavieng.
Individuals or organisations wishing to buy or distribute the 450-year souvenirs can contact the Phetbandith Construction Company, Sangkhou village, Saythany district, Vientiane, or its outlet in front of the arch of That Luang stupa.
