No Iranian Police personnel arrested in Malaysia: official
Tehran, April 20, IRNA – A police official announced on Tuesday that no Iranian police personnel has been arrested in Malaysia.
Commander of Iran’s anti-drug Police Brigadier General Hamid-Reza Hosseinabadi told IRNA that none of Iran’s police personnel has been arrested on the charges of smuggle of narcotic drugs at a Malaysian airport. He added that all allegations made in that regard are false.
Some media have announced that an Iranian police personnel has been arrested in a Malaysian airport for drug trafficking.
The police officer remarked that based on the investigations, the arrested person has been an ordinary Iranian citizen.
Brigadier General Hosseinabadi added that the Malaysian Police has been briefed over the issue./end
