AZERBAIJAN CANCELS LONDON AND PARIS FLIGHTS AMID VOLCANIC ASH FEARS
Baku, April 17 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s airlines, AZAL, has said it will cancel all flights to London and Paris on Sunday as a huge plume of volcanic ash drifts across the continent.
According to Maharram Safarli, AZAL`s spokesman, “forecasts suggest the spread of ash would continue into Sunday”.
“Tomorrow there will be no flights to the capitals of France and United Kingdom.”
“On April 16 there were no flights from Germany and UK to Azerbaijan,” said Safarli.
“However flights to Moscow have been continuing in accordance with the schedule,” added the spokesman.
