FIRST VICTORY IN ALL-ROUND COMPETITIONS!
Baku, April 17 (AzerTAc). Azeri woman gymnast Aliya Garayeva has won bronze in all-round competitions of the European Championship on Rhythmic Gymnastics in Bremen, Germany. Garayeva ranked third scoring in total 111.375 points (27.925 for rope, 27.8 for hoop, 27.9 for ball and 27.75 for ribbon) and loosing only to Russian Yevgenia Kanayeva (115.9) and Darya Kondakova (113.725).
Garayeva has brought the first-ever medal for Azerbaijan in all-round European competitions!
“I am so happy and grateful to all. This is a success of the whole Azerbaijan. I thank very much my coaches, who were approaching this success together with me. I hope our junior team will also do well here. I express my special gratitude to the Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics and its President Ms. Mehriban Aliyeva”, Garayeva told the media.
