AZERBAIJAN AND EU DISCUSS ENERGY COOPERATION
Baku, April 15 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan Minister of Industry and Energy Natig Aliyev has met here today with visiting Energy Commissioner of the European Union Gunther Oettinger.
Aliyev provided information on the current situation and prospects for development of Azerbaijan`s fuel-energy complex and country`s role in ensuring EU`s energy security.
Oettinger praised Azerbaijan`s role in strengthening Europe`s energy security. He stressed importance of realization of the Nabucco project, which will play a significant role in increasing gas supplies to Europe.
Following the meeting, the sides responded to a number of journalists` questions concerning prospects for the Azerbaijan-EU cooperation and Nabucco project.
