AZERBAIJAN PRESIDENT: OPENING OF TURKISH-ARMENIAN BORDER IS UP TO TURKEY AND ARMENIA

Baku, April 15 (AzerTAc). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has said it is up to Turkey and Armenia to open their borders and nobody must interfere.
The President commented on the Turkish-Armenian issue during his remarks at a Cabinet meeting that he chaired on Wednesday.
“Neither we nor others can interfere. But, however, there are those who think they have to interfere in everything.”
The President said: “Let Turkey and Armenia decide by themselves. Of course, when considering their relations these countries will take regional processes and history into account.”
“But we wonder what those who are not aware of anything, who are not aware of regional processes want to achieve by putting pressure, blackmailing or slandering.”
“And it is a policy which is openly against Azerbaijan`s interests. Azerbaijan has always made and will make adequate steps in its policy,” said the Azerbaijani leader.
