PACE PRESIDENT: AZERBAIJAN MADE GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME SINCE GAINING INDEPENDENCE
Baku, April 14 (AzerTAc). “Azerbaijan has made great achievements in a short period of time since gaining independence. The country has made considerable success in fulfillment of obligations since being member of the Council of Europe”, interviewed by journalists the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Mevlut Cavusoglu said.
“We all observe Azerbaijan`s successive development in various fields. For achievement of European standards these processes must be continued”, he stressed
Cavusoglu noted democracy is a very long process, adding “our aim is to support young democracies, like Azerbaijan. We hope Azerbaijan will resolutely continue the process and will gain standards of the Council of Europe”.
