AZERI FREESTYLERS MAKE SUCCESSFUL START TO EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP
Baku, April 14 (AzerTAc). All three Azerbaijani freestyle wrestlers have launched a successful bid to European gold run in Baku.
Haji Aliyev weighing in at 60 kg beat German Tim Shleycher, while Jamsulvara Jamsulvarayev and Khetag Gazyumov defeated Georgian Giya Chikhladze and Latvian Imants Lagodskis in the 74 kg and at 96 kg classes respectively.
Day one marked a success for Azerbaijan as their Greco-Roman wrestlers claimed two golds and a silver medal.
