CONDOLENCE BOOK TO BE OPENED AT POLISH EMBASSY IN BAKU
Baku, April 12 (AzerTAc). Poland`s embassy in Azerbaijan has set up a book of condolence for President Lech Kaczynski and the country`s senior officials who died in a plane crash.
The book will be available to sign from 11.00 to 17.00 on Tuesday.
Mourners, who include Poles living in Azerbaijan`s capital as well as Azerbaijanis and representatives of international organizations and diplomatic corps, have been placing floral tributes at the embassy.
The embassy has announced a 7-day mourning and lowered Poland`s national flag to half-mast.
Kaczynski was honored with Azerbaijan`s highest state award, the Heydar Aliyev Order, for his “outstanding contribution to developing the Azerbaijan-Poland relations and strengthening mutual trust and understanding between the two nations”.
