US should not dare to threaten countries with nuclear weapons

Tehran, April 11, IRNA – A Chinese professor in Political Science who teaches in the US university of Warren Wilson said that US and any other countries should not dare to threaten any other countries with nuclear weapons.

He stressed that the USA is ignoring international law by its dual standards and is threatening other countries.

Dang Ping Hanain told IRNA that the US has dual standards in non-proliferation.

Reacting to President Obama's statement concerning US new nuclear strategy with atomic threat against Iran and North Korea, the professor said,"The best situation, in my view, is that no country owns a nuclear arsenal and can use it to threaten other countries."

Referring to the US policy, the university professor said when a country has atomic bombs and has used one and is threatening other countries with it, what policy should other countries take and what should they do about it?

He continued that US, in its Independence Declaration, called all human beings equal, but this country is now closing its eyes on a number of its friends and allies, while one of this friendly countries of the US owns a nuclear arsenal and is violating non-proliferation too.

A few weeks ago, in an interview with Chinese newspaper 'China Daily', the professor had underlined Iran’s nuclear program as peaceful and said that Iran does not want to produce nuclear weapons and China should not support US sanctions against Iran.

He added that Iran’s nuclear program would not be a threat to the world peace, so Chinese government should not support imposing sanction against Iran.

He concluded that imposing sanctions against Iran would not solve nuclear crisis, but it would be a threat to endanger peace and security in the region and world./end
