AZERBAIJAN CONSTITUTIONAL COURT`s CHAIRMAN MEETS DUTCH AMBASSADOR
Baku, April 7 (AzerTAc). Chairman of Azerbaijan Constitutional Court Farhad Abdullayev has met today Dutch ambassador Jan Lukas Inayat van Hoorn.
Abdullayev briefed the Ambassador on the workings of the Constitutional Court.
He said legal foundations of the Court constitute Azerbaijan`s constitution, international agreements wherein the country is one of the parties and the law on the Constitutional Court.
According to Abdullayev, so far the Court has adopted some 180 decisions.
Abdullayev also spoke of the Court`s international relations. He added he plans to visit the Netherlands in June to become familiar with the country`s legal system.
He also expressed confidence that the Dutch ambassador would contribute to strengthening relationship between the two countries.
Lukas van Hoorn, in turn, spoke of the legal system of his country.
The Ambassador was given a keepsake.
