AZERBAIJAN TO TEST STRENGTH AT THESSALONIKI CHESS FESTIVAL
Baku, April 5 (AzerTAc). Azeri national chess team will compete in an international open tournament commencing today in Thessaloniki, Greece. Azerbaijan will be represented by Rasul Ibrahimov, Nijat Aghayev, Kanan Heydarly, Aziz Hajiyev and Lyudmila Barishnikova.
Meanwhile, young Azeri chess players will battle for medals of the European Individual School Championship.
In this tournament, Azerbaijan`s hopes will be pinned on Narmin Kazimova, Javidan Babazade, Agil Pirverdiyev, Elkhan Bayramov, Khatin Baghirova, Ulviya Fataliyeva and Narmin Khalafova.
