SECURITY MEASURES TO BE TOUGHENED IN BAKU METRO

Baku, April 4 (AzerTAc). The Baku Metro toughened security measures after terror acts in the Moscow Metro`s Lublyanka and Park Kulturi stations. The number of cameras was increased in the stations, chief of the Baku metro Taghi Ahmedov told a press conference at the New Azerbaijan Party`s headquarters.
He told of the metro development plan for 20 years, progress achieved and outstanding tasks.
He noted talks with world`s leading companies are underway to purchase new world-class cars. The Baku metro is scheduled to buy 60-60 cars this year.
Ahmadov pointed out the tunnel-boring machine would be bought from Germany this year. It will allow building five stations a year. New stations will meet modern standards.
