Obama's motto of 'change' just a tactic to deviate public opinion

Beijing, April 3, IRNA – Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili, who is in China at an official invitation, said the motto of 'change' used by US President Barak Obama was just a tactic to deviate world public opinion on US failed foreign policy.

In a meeting with senior officials of China Social Sciences Academy here on Friday evening, Jalili, by criticizing dual policies of the USA in different issues like Iran’s nuclear program, said that imposing pressure by the US and other big powers against Iran would have no effect.

He went on to say that a number of big powers, in direction of their hegemonic goals, are continuing their threats and pressures against Iran, while Iran has met all its obligations on NPT and International Atomic Energy Agency.

The secretary of SNSC, by expounding on Iran’s nuclear policy, said that President Obama's approach concerning Iran’s nuclear issue is, in fact, continuation of US wrong past policies.

Jalili has been in Beijing since Thursday to discuss issues of mutual interest with Chinese senior officials.

Meeting with Chinese foreign minister and senior member of State Council, delivering a speech in International Study Center, discussing with Communist Party Minister in international affairs and holding a press conference and attending a gathering of Muslims in Beijing Newjih Mosque have been among his programs in the past two days./end
