GEORGIAN PRESIDENT SAAKASHVILI CONGRATULATES AZERBAIJANIS ON NOVRUZ HOLIDAY
Tbilisi, March 21 (AzerTAc). Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili attended festivities in Marneuli, predominantly Azerbaijani-populated region of Georgia, where he congratulated the Azerbaijani community on the Novruz holiday.
Speaking at the ceremony, Georgian leader said Azerbaijan and Georgia would achieve more successes in the future.
He also noted that head of the Azerbaijan-Georgia interparliamentary friendship group Ganira
Pashayeva had been elected honorary citizen of the town of Marneuli.
For her part, Pashayeva delivered President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev`s best wishes to the participants of the ceremony.
