RUSSIAN SCIENTISTS TO PUBLISH “HEYDAR ALIYEV ENCYCLOPEDIA”
Moscow, March 18 (AzerTAc). The Russian scientists prepare a unique encyclopedia about the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, Professor Vadim Telitsin, responsible editor of the Encyclopedia told AzerTAc correspondent. The edition is said to be released in two volumes and probably be published before May next year. The Encyclopedia will be printed at the Nauka Publishing House in Moscow.
Speaking of the idea of publishing the Encyclopedia, the Russian professor said the personality of the outstanding statesman and politician Heydar Aliyev is always interesting and actual for the historians and investigators. “Unfortunately, Heydar Aliyev`s name and his importance for Russia has not been duly assessed and investigated. In the edition, the fact that he was a prominent and gifted leader of the modern time has to be reflected in the edition and conveyed to future generations.” At his words, release of such Encyclopedia will certainly contribute to enhance mutual relations between two nations.
Asked whether anybody was invited from Azerbaijan to work on the Encyclopedia, Professor Vadim Telitsin said: ”First of all, we asked Elmira Akhundova, the Azerbaijani writer, publicist, author of the voluminous edition about Heydar Aliyev. She is a specialist in this field and agreed to cooperate with us. She has completed a great deal of the work. Currently Elmira Akhundova is working on the glossary of the edition.”
“The Encyclopedia will be a worthy gift for strengthening of friendship between our peoples”, the Russian professor emphasized.
