Laos and Vietnam further cooperation on sports
VIENTIANE, MACH 15 (KPL) - The Lao National Sports and Gymnastics Committee and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam signed here on March 12 an agreement to further their cooperation on sports.
The signatories to the document were Mr. Phouthong Sengakhom, President of the Lao National Sports and Gymnastics Committee, Mr. Hoang Tuan Anh, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam. Relevant officials of both sides witnessed the signing.
According to the agreement, both sides agreed to exchange study tour and working visits of their officials twice or three times a year. The Vietnamese side invited the delegation of the Lao National Sports and Gymnastics Committee to observe the hosting of the 6th National Sports Games of Vietnam, which will be hosted in Da Nang in December this year. Both sides have agreed to send their athletes to compete at sport completions held in their respective countries. They also expressed a commitment to promoting the cooperation on sport between Laos and Vietnam, especially between their bordered provinces.
