Minister: Potentials exist for Pakistan-Iran education co-op

Islamabad, Feb 27, IRNA - Provincial Minister for Education in Pakistan’s Punjab province, Mian Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman said that there are lots of prospects for Pak-Iran cooperation in the field of education.

“Our Punjab government has been cooperating with Iran successfully on different ventures,” he told IRNA in an interview.

He expressed satisfaction over the level of bilateral cooperation and said that Chief Minister Punjab visited Iran last year to promote Pak-Iran ties. |We have also sent our bright students for the sturdy tour of Iranian universities”.

There is potential between Pak-Iran educational sectors, the minister said, adding that cooperation in professional education could be enhanced. He underlined the need for student exchange programs between the two countries.

Meanwhile in a separate interview with IRNA Punjab Minister for Labour and Human Resources, Ashraf Khan Sohna said that the relationship between Iran and and security.

“This strong friendship must be converted into strong economic and trade relationship. We are making all out efforts to enhance Pak-Iran economic ties”. He said that the people of both the countries share same sentiments for each others.

Replying to a question he said that those elements who are against the stability of Pakistan and Iran and who are against the strong brotherly ties between two Islamic states should keep in view that their efforts to draw rift between the Pak-Iran relations would be a futile exercise.

The relationship between both the countries would further grow in future, the Pakistani minister said./end
