President Ahmadinejad to visit S. Khorasan province
Birjand, South Khorasan Prov, Feb 22, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his cabinet ministers are to arrive in this eastern province on Tuesday, it was announced here on Monday.
Provincial Governor Qahraman Rashid added that the President is to meet local people at Birjand’s main stadium upon arrival into the city.
President Ahmadinejad will also meet provincial officials, and war veterans in separate meetings, he announced.
Various development projects including the Qa’en power plant and control tower of Birjand airport will become operational during the President's visit.
President Ahmadinejad is to visit South Khorasan province on the third round of his provincial tours.
He is visiting the province to review the implementation process of the projects which had been approved during his previous visits.
The initiative of visiting various provinces started when he took office for the first term in 2005 to become closely familiar with people’s problems in different parts of the country./end
