‘NAGORNO-KARABAKH`S STATUS COULD BE DETERMINED AFTER RETURN OF AZERBAIJANIS’

Baku, February 16 (AzerTAc). The status of Nagorno-Karabakh could be determined after the return of the displaced Azerbaijanis, head of the Azerbaijani community of Nagorno Karabakh Bayram Safarov told journalists Monday following his meeting with OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Kanat Saudabayev.
“I informed Saudabayev of the atrocities committed by Armenians against Azerbaijanis as well as our stance on settlement of the conflict,” he said.
“I also criticized the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs` fruitless activities.”
Safarov noted “we wish that our country`s territorial integrity be restored, and want to return to our native lands and live there in peace.”
He pointed out “members of the Armenian community of the region must behave as citizens of Azerbaijan and obey the country`s laws.”
“They must feel honored to be citizens of such a country as Azerbaijan,” he added.
Safarov also underlined “we are ready for any dialogue with the Armenian community.”
