Serbian animators holding workshops in Iran

TEHRAN, Feb. 15 (MNA) -- Miomira Cecovic and Igor Ghimbas, two animators from Serbia, will be holding workshops in Tehran starting on Tuesday.

Over five days, the animators will instruct other teachers and members of the Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA) how to do animation productions.

This is concurrent with the opening of the fifth Qasedak Children’s Film Festival in which selected films and animations produced by members of IIDCYA will go on screen for three days.

Top works are selected by prominent Iranian animators Vajiollah Fard-Moqaddam, Safar-Ali Asgharzadeh and Sara Khalili as well as writer and researcher Alireza Hafezi.

The final selected works will be awarded on Thursday in a ceremony held at the IIDCYA on Hejab St.

In addition, several other workshops in the fields of screenwriting, filmmaking, acting, cinematography and animation are arranged on the side section of the event.

Qasedak festival features films and animations produced by members of IIDCYA departments across the country.
