OSCE CHAIRPERSON-IN-OFFICE VISITS AZERBAIJAN

Baku, February 15 (AzerTAc). OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Kazakhstan`s Secretary of State and Foreign Minister Kanat Saudabayev has arrived in Azerbaijan on Sunday as a part of his tour to the Southern Caucasus.
He is expected to have a number of meetings in Baku to discuss OSCE-related topics as well as bilateral and international matters.
The Chairperson-in-Office seeks to promote progress in the settlement of protracted conflicts in the region.
Minister Saudabayev will use the trip to reiterate OSCE support for the processes facilitated by the Minsk Group Co-Chairs for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The OSCE has a mandate to support the sides in their search for the resolution of these conflicts.
During his visit, Saudabayev will also discuss the role of the OSCE in supporting democratic processes in the region.
