RUSSIAN AMBASSADOR PRAISES RELATIONS WITH AZERBAIJAN
Baku, February 13 (AzerTAc). Russia`s ambassador in Baku has praised his country`s relations with Azerbaijan.
Ambassador Vladimir Dorokhin visited the Azerbaijan State University of Languages where he met Rector Samad Seyidov.
Dorokhin said the Azerbaijan-Russia relations were “rapidly developing in all spheres of life”.
“The friendly relations between our countries have deep roots.”
The ambassador also said Azerbaijan had “rich culture”.
“We in Russia are very fond of songs by Azerbaijan`s outstanding musicians like Muslim Magomayev, Polad Bulbuloglu and Rashid Behbudov.”
Seyidov said Azerbaijan placed “a particular emphasis” on its cultural and educational cooperation with Russia.
Seyidov said there were several European countries` language centers at the Azerbaijan State University of Languages.
“Opening of a Russian language center at our university would contribute to boosting the Azerbaijan-Russia cultural relations,” he said.
Dorokhin welcomed the initiative, saying “it will play the role of a cultural bridge between our nations”.
