AZERBAIJAN, BELARUS DISCUSS ICT COOPERATION
Baku, 9 February (AzerTAc). Azerbaijani and Belarusian business people and information technology experts have come together in Baku for a first ever forum aimed at exploring what the two countries could do to boost their ICT cooperation.
The event was opened by Azeri communication and information technologies minister Ali Abbasov who highlighted the country`s achievements in ICT.
Abbasov also praised Belarus` successes in the information technologies sector, saying Azerbaijan could benefit from the country`s experience.
“We are in particular interested in learning the Belarusian experience of creating special technological zones,” said Abbasov.
The Belarusian delegation made a presentation on the country`s ICT potential, in particular the High Technologies Park.
The forum, which involved a total of nearly 170 businessmen and experts, featured the signing of several agreements.
