ANAMA CLEARS OVER 2 MILLION SQ. METERS OF LAND FROM UXOS AND MINES IN JANUARY
Baku, February 7 (AzerTAc).The Azerbaijan National Mine Action (ANAMA) has cleared 2,368,914 sq. meters of area from mines, Unexploded Ordnances (UXO) in January.
Demining operations involved 425 deminers, 6 mechanical demining machines, 30 mine detection dogs.
To date, ANAMA has cleared 124, 272, 423 sq.m. of land, destroying 601,867 mines and UXOs.
The Agency has carried out demining operations in Tartar, Agdam, Agjabedi, Gedebey, Garadagh, Fizuli, Akstafa.
