AZERBAIJANI AND RUSSIAN VERSIONS OF AUSTRIAN WRITER`S BOOK ON HISTORY OF AZERBAIJAN PUBLISHED

Baku, February 4 (AzerTAc). The Azerbaijani and Russian versions of the book titled “The Land of Fire on the Silk Road - History Of Azerbaijan” by famous Austrian historian, writer Erich Feigl has come out here recently.
The Erich Feigl`s book is a glance from Europe into the past, present and future of Azerbaijan.
The foreword for the book written by full member of the National Academy of Sciences and President of the Association of Philosophy and Socio-Political Sciences Ramiz Mehdiyev says:
”This is a necessary book timely written chiefly for the European reader. Thanks to the book “The Land of Fire on the Silk Road - History Of Azerbaijan”, which is based on reliable sources and the Europe`s first fundamental work on the history of Azerbaijan, European reader will get comprehensive information about the history of Azerbaijan and its realities”.
The book is part of a joint project of the Ministry of National Security, Institute of History and AzerTAc. The managers of the project are chairman of the State Commission for POWs, Hostages and Missing Persons Eldar Mahmudov, Director of the History Institute Yagub Mahmudov and Director General of AzerTAc Aslan Aslanov.
It is designed for experts specializing in Azerbaijan and for general readers.
