AZERBAIJAN BIDS FOR 2011-2013 BEACH SOCCER WORLD CUPS
Baku, February 1 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s association of football federations, AFFA, has launched a bid to host the 2011-2013 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cups.
The race to host one or both competitions has reached a milestone as the number of bidders already made 13. Besides Azerbaijan, the bidders` list includes Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Italy, Netherlands, Oman, Poland, Russia, South Africa, Switzerland and Tahiti.
The final decision will be made by the FIFA Executive Committee in March.
AFFA has also launched a bid to host the final stage of U-20 women`s beach soccer cup in 2012.
