CoE HELPS HUMAN RIGHTS INSTITUTIONS TO IMPROVE
Baku, January 29 (AzerTAc). As part of a joint project of the European Union and Council of Europe, a meeting was held in Hungary to contribute to improving the activities of national human rights institutions and expanding their cooperation with CoE.
The event, brought together representatives from over 30 countries, focused on prospects for cooperation between CoE and national human rights institutions.
Attending the event, head of the Office of the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Markus Jaeger said his department attaches special importance to cooperation with national human rights institutions.
Official of the Azerbaijan Ombudsman Office Zaur Valimammadli attended the event, who briefed the participants on the problems of IDPs in his country suffered from Armenia`s aggression.
