ROUND TABLE MEETING ON AZERBAIJAN`s AND TURKEY`s ROLE IN ENERGY SECURITY UNDERWAY IN LONDON
London, January 29 (AzerTAc). A round table meeting on contribution of Azerbaijan and Turkey to energy markets is underway at the Chatham House, home of the Royal Institute of International Affairs in London.
Addressing the event, Azerbaijan`s Minister of Industry and Energy Natig Aliyev said Azerbaijan had been involved in a large number of international oil and gas projects.
“These projects considerably contribute to ensuring the European energy security.”
Aliyev also highlighted Azerbaijan`s achievements in energy sector, saying the country had good potential to use alternative energy sources.
Representatives of US-based PricewaterhouseCoopers and Baker&McKenzie companies in Azerbaijan praised business environment in the country.
On the margins of the event, the Azerbaijani minister has met Will Cavendish, the director general of British department of energy and climate change, to discuss energy cooperation between the two countries and possibilities of delivering Caspian oil and gas to the world markets.
