Premier receives Japanese guest
(KPL) Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh received here last Friday a courtesy visit of Mr. Handa Haruhisa President of Worldwide Support for Development.
Mr. Handa visited Laos for attending the groundbreaking ceremony of a nursing school and the Mother and Child Hospital.
Prime Minister highly valued the visit of the president of the World Wide Support for Development and its assistance to the Lao PDR, which have contributed to the increasing cooperation and mutual help between Laos and Japan, especially the cooperation and assistance between the World Wide Support for Development and the Lao PDR.
The Japanese international organization has provided medical equipment and helped Lao mothers and children access healthcare service.
In the morning of the same day, Foreign Minister Thongloun Sisoulith, on behalf of the Lao government and the ministry of health, awarded the Second Class Development Medal to Mr. Handa Haruhisa in recognition of his assistance to the development of health sector in the Lao PDR.
