Doha, September 30 (QNA) - Promotional events and entertainment activities organized by the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy continued in a number of commercial centers, with the approaching of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 finals, scheduled Nov. 20 to Dec. 18. Today, in Doha Festival City, many sports and entertainment activities and electronic games were held amid a large public participation, where the audience interacted with the events in an enthusiastic atmosphere that confirms everyone's passion for football and their anticipation for the launch of the exceptional World Cup. The sports and entertainment events were well received by the attendees and participants who were keen to document the promotional activities by taking souvenir photos, stressing their readiness to support their teams participating in the World Cup, which will witness the participation of 32 teams. The participants expressed their happiness and eagerness to be in Doha Festival City and to follow the promotional activities and events, noting that they live in the World Cup atmosphere before its launch. Captain Wael Jumaa, one of the ambassadors of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, attended the events, as he responded to the fans by answering their questions related to the World Cup, his expectations regarding the chances of Arab representatives in the World Cup, and Qatar's readiness to host the event, which is being held for the first time in the Gulf region and the Middle East. Wael Jumaa said, in an exclusive statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), that Qatar will organize an exceptional event in light of the preparations that began early, as the country was fully prepared to host the largest sporting event ever, noting that Qatar hosted major sports tournaments in various games over the past years, just as many football tournaments were organized, with high levels of organizational quality that were praised by everyone. He explained that with the start of the countdown to the start of the World Cup, everyone feels that they are living in the atmosphere of the World Cup through the great renaissance that occurred in Qatar, in addition to banners and slogans in public streets, in commercial centers and high-rise buildings, in addition to raising the flags of the participating countries on public roads. Sports fans of different nationalities showed great interaction with the promotional events and activities for the World Cup during the past few days in Mall of Qatar and Place Vendome Mall, before continuing today in Doha Festival City.
