Qatari Forum For Authors Organizes New Session of "Translator Biography And Career" Initiative

Doha, July 05 (QNA) - Qatari Forum for Authors hosted today the writer and translator Obaid Taher within a new session of "Translator Biography and Career" initiative provided by the social media activist Maria Fernanda del Rio, and broadcasted on social media platforms, including YouTube channel. During the session, the conversation with the guest tackled the translation of the novel "Rose Water" authored by the Qatari writer Dr. Noura Muhammad Faraj and the group of Qatari storyteller Samira Obaid (fugitive tattoo from mud) into Urdu, and he is currently working on translating a poetry book by Pakistani writer Amjad Islam Amjad into Arabic. Obaid Taher is an Indian media and translator, a graduate of the Faculty of Arabic Language and Literature from Dar Al Uloom University for the Symposium of Scholars in India. He is fluent in Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, English, Punjabi and Nepali. (QNA)
