Civil Service and Government Development Bureau Organizes Professional Day for People with Special Needs Employment

Doha, July 05 (QNA) - The Civil Service and Government Development Bureau organized today the professional day for the employment of people with special needs in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Development and Family within a series of the employment campaign for those who are seeking jobs. In addition, 30 candidates have been accepted with whom most of the government authorities signed work contracts immediately following the interviews, while the remaining authorities shall further complete employment procedures after Blessed Eid ul Adha Holiday. A number of job interviews were conducted with 35 of job seekers within those who had been registered in the national employment platform (Kawader) after their medical reports and the necessary action were entirely reviewed and vetted in this regard. The Professional day was attended by 17 government authorities, including; Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (KM1), Qatar Media Corporation, General Retirement & Social Insurance Authority, General Authority of Customs, General Tax Authority, University of Doha for Science and Technology - UDST, Planning and Statistics Authority, Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, Qatar Fund For Development (QFFD), Qatar Tourism Authority, Behavioral Health Support Center, Primary Health Care Corporation, Racing & Equestrian Club, Public Works Authority, Ministry of Endowments & Islamic Affairs, Ministry of Sports & Youth and Ministry of Transport. This step comes in the pursuit of expediting the employment procedures for People with Special Needs in various government authorities, supporting and integrating them into the community, in addition to providing the essential independency for them. The Civil Service and Government Development Bureau operates in coordination with the government authorities to further determine and monitor job opportunities that best suit job seekers as per authorities and work market's requirements, which is represented in the constant update process on (Kawader) platform through adding job opportunities for job seekers with their multiple scientific levels based on the practical experiences. The Civil Service and Government Development Bureau follows up the execution of law No. (2) of 2004 which provides in its fifth article that employing people with special needs shall be not less than 2 percent of the total jobs in the entities, according to their capabilities and qualifications, in addition to providing training and qualification requirements for the sake of developing and enhancing their job skills.
