Doha, June 23 (QNA) - Al-Raya newspaper hailed the launch of the Zeeenah initiative under the slogan "Let's Celebrate" with the aim of beautifying and decorating facades of workplaces, schools, universities, and real estate, in addition to the plazas, parks, and public developments in the occasion of Qatar's hosting of FIFA World Cup 2022 The newspaper noted that with the countdown to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 accelerating, the pace of preparations in Qatar has begun in full swing in order to provide an exceptional experience that allows football fans from different countries of the world to enjoy a football experience on the land of Qatar, which pledged to present an unprecedented version of the World Cup, after raising the bar for the first carbon-neutral tournament that observes the principle of sustainability. In parallel with what has been achieved previously, Qatar's seeking efforts to present the best celebratory image in welcoming the visitors during the World Cup, the paper added. The Supervisory Committee of Beautification of Roads and Public Places in Qatar aimed to highlight the civilized image of Qatar and raise it in front of the guests and visitors of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, said the newspaper, pointing out that the Committee's affirmation that it is the responsibility of the various state institutions, citizens and residents, and with the solidarity of all segments of society, everyone can show the whole world the ability of Qatar to organize an exceptional version of the World Cup that will remain firmly rooted in everyone's minds. Al-Raya indicated that the Zeeenah initiative consists of two main activities, the first one is the participation of all people including citizens and residents in decorating their facilities or their residential units, and the second is a competition for three categories in the country to decorate their facilities in a way that reflects the sport event. Participants in the initiative will have the opportunity to apply within three categories that include government and private entities, schools, universities, kindergartens, and municipalities, it added. The newspaper explained that citizens and residents can participate by decorating their homes and pictures of their participation, which will be displayed in designated platforms with an electronic certificate. The suitability of the participating forms with the competition criteria will be evaluated by the Committee, and the winners will be announced in January during the closing ceremony, the paper said. Concluding, Al-Raya said that Qatar has successfully completed all its preparations for the dream World Cup and is ready to greet guests to live an unprecedented experience of encouragement that will remain engraved in the minds of millions around the world starting Nov. 21.
