QOC President Honors Affiliates of Executive Master's Program in Sports Law and Advanced Sports Management Diploma

Doha, June 08 (QNA) - HE President of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, Wednesday, honored graduates of the Executive Master's Program in Sports Law and a Diploma in Sports Management affiliated with the Qatar Olympic Academy. The ceremony, which was held at the headquarters of the Olympic Committee, witnessed the graduation of three batches for the years 2019, 2020, 2021 from the Executive Master's Program in Sports Law, and the graduates of the Sports Management Diploma for the class of 2021. The Executive Master Degree Program in Sports Law, which is unique in the region, comes in cooperation with the University of Lleida (Spain), and with accreditation from the International Olympic Committee, the Olympic Council of Asia, the International Olympic Academy, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), and the Qatar Olympic Committee, in addition to the accreditation of the certificate by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Qatar. The Qatar Olympic Academy offers this program to anyone who has a desire to study sports law, holders of accredited bachelor’s degrees working in the sports field, as well as those wishing to qualify to work in the sports field. The study in the program lasts for one academic year, with 4 days in each of the ten scheduled semesters. As for the Advanced Sports Management Diploma program , the program is considered as one of the pillars of the annual academy agenda. The program began for the first time in 2008, when it was launched by the Qatar Olympic Committee, represented by the Qatar Olympic Academy, to be among the first twenty Olympic committees in the world, and the first A Gulf and Arab Olympic Committee implements this program. The participants of the diploma program receive many sciences that serve them in the field of their sports and administrative lives, such as Organizing an Olympic Sport Organization, Managing Strategically, Organizing a Major Sport Event, and other sciences that the student deals with, during the six semesters of the program.
