Al Arabi to Play in Semi-Finals of Asian Club Volleyball Championship

Bangkok, October 13 (QNA) - Al Arabi SC will meet on Thursday team Burevestnik Almaty of Kazakhstan in the semi-finals of the 11th Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship hosted by the Thai city of Nakhon Ratchasima until October 15, with participation of 10 clubs divided into two groups. Al Arabi qualified for this round after it finished second in the second group after playing 4 matches, winning 3 of them and losing one. Al Arabi is looking forward to reach the final of the tournament for the fifth time in its history after won the 2012 Asian Club title, picking up silver in 2010, 2015 and 2016 and bronze in 2007, 2009 and 2017. Al Arabi team made its way to the semi-finals when it finished second in the second group with 9 points, following brilliant victory over AGMK of Uzbekistan in their last preliminary Pool B clash and passed the Philippine team Rebisco, and the Thai team Diamond Food, in return for a single loss against the Iranian team Foolad Sirjan, which topped the standings of the second group with a full score of 12 points.
